Basketball Recap: Fuqua Comes Up Short

Fuqua lost against Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Fuqua Falcons took a 42-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot Knights.

Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Molly Hamner, who posted 19 points in addition to five boards and three steals. Havana Costello was another key player, putting up four points and ten rebounds.

Fuqua has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season. As for Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot, they now have a winning record of 10-9.

Fuqua does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot, they will face off against Brunswick Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Brunswick Academy will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot surely won't give up without a fight.
