Basketball Recap: Clark Skates Past SA Roosevelt with Ease

There's no place like home for Clark, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They blew past the SA Roosevelt Rough Riders 60-28 on Saturday. Given the Cougars' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 226th, while the Rough Riders are ranked 851st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Despite the loss, SA Roosevelt still got an impressive performance from Maddie Castillo, who posted 16 points and five rebounds. Castillo's afternoon made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Clark's win bumped their record up to 10-12. As for SA Roosevelt, they have been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 11 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-17 record this season.

Clark is taking a road trip to take on Reagan at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for SA Roosevelt, they will square off against Brandeis at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
