Softball Recap: Molalla Takes a Loss

Molalla was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 15-2 to The Dalles Riverhawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Riverhawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-1 on Thursday.

Josie Brooks made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Madison Shultz, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

Molalla's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for The Dalles, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-8.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Molalla will square off against rival Estacada at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, The Dalles is set to challenge their familiar foe Crook County on Wednesday.
