Baseball Preview: Stockdale Brahmas vs. Jourdanton Indians/Squaws
Stockdale has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Jourdanton Indians/Squaws at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Stockdale's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Jourdanton's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
Last Friday, Stockdale suffered a tough 9-1 defeat at the hands of Brackett. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest runs Stockdale has scored all season.
Meanwhile, Jourdanton sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 victory over Karnes City on Friday. The win was just what Jourdanton needed coming off of a 12-3 loss in their prior contest.
Wyatt Avery was incredible, going 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Guerra, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.
Stockdale's defeat dropped their record down to 11-9-1. As for Jourdanton, the victory got them back to even at 11-11.
