North Thurston waltzed into their matchup on Friday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. Everything went their way against the Bellarmine Prep Lions as they made off with a 12-2 win. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by six runs or more this season.
David Perez made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing five innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Perez was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jaylen Kennedy, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March. Kole French was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.
North Thurston always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .515. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bellarmine Prep only posted an OBP of .320.
North Thurston pushed their record up to 13-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
