Recap: Manual Thunderbolts vs. Denver West Cowboys
The Manual Thunderbolts fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They took down Denver West 40-24 on Saturday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Manual also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
It was another big night for Jaci Collins-Falcon, who scored 27 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Dayjah Fox, who scored four points along with seven rebounds and five blocks.
Denver West's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Gloria Witke, who scored 11 points along with three steals, and Shukri Hussein who scored six points along with three blocks. That's the first time this season that Hussein posted two or more blocks.
Manual's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-6. As for Denver West, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4.
Manual will be playing at home against Forge Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Denver West, they will head out on the road to square off against Far Northeast W at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
