Football Recap: Rio Rico Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Rio Rico was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost to the Sierra Linda Bulldogs on the road by a 38-21 margin.

Although Rio Rico took the loss, they still got scores from Sebastian Castro, Hunter Thompson, and Axel Moreno.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Sierra Linda to victory, but perhaps none more so than Jordan Quijada, who picked up 42 receiving yards and one touchdown, and also rushed for 47 yards. Matthew Ramirez was another key rusher, rushing for 51 yards and one TD on only five carries.

Rio Rico's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Sierra Linda, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rio Rico will venture away from home to square off against Amphitheater at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Sierra Linda, they will head out to take on Washington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
