Frontier Regional's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. Everything went their way against the Athol Bears as they made off with a 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Red Hawks in their matchups with the Bears: they've now won seven in a row.

Frontier Regional not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Athol between 17 and 19 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-17, 25-19.

Avah Spearance paced Frontier Regional's offense, picking up six kills. Spearance got some help from Cadence Martin and her 14 assists. Greta Hale controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Frontier Regional's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Athol, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-6.

Frontier Regional and Athol could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Massachusetts Rankings. The Red Hawks will square off against Wahconah Regional at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank disadvantage (160 vs. 47). Meanwhile, Athol (ranked 198th) will meet Greenfield (ranked 29th) at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
