Baseball Game Preview: Gleason Bulldogs vs. Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central Tigers

The Gleason Bulldogs will face off against the Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Gleason has given up an average of 8.3 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Monday just wasn't the day for Gleason's offense. They came up short against McKenzie on Monday, falling 14-0. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Rebels recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive lost meeting.

Gleason saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aiden Legens, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Meanwhile, it may have taken nine innings to finish the job, but Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They won by a run and slipped past Houston County 5-4. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Tigers as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Gleason's loss dropped their record down to 6-13-1. As for Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central, the win got them back to even at 8-8.

Gleason was able to grind out a solid victory over Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 4-1. Do the Bulldogs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
