Basketball Recap: Global Concepts Takes a Loss

Global Concepts lost against West Seneca West back in December of 2019 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Global Concepts Gators were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 48-47 to the West Seneca West Warhawks. While the Gators didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Warhawks 18-9 in the first quarter.

Several Gators players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Eric Davis, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 boards. Another player making a difference was Shawndale Lipscomb, who posted 12 points and six rebounds.

This is the second loss in a row for Global Concepts and nudges their season record down to 6-4. As for West Seneca West, their win ended an 11-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-3.

Global Concepts has already played their next game (against Buffalo Academy of Science), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. West Seneca West will face off against Western New York Maritime Charter at 6:30 p.m. on January 21st.
