Basketball Recap: Baldwin Takes a Loss

Baldwin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 63-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pentwater Falcons. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Falcons apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February.

Pentwater had a senior duo take command as Mikey Carlson shot 4-for-6 from downtown and dropped a double-double on 20 points and 15 boards and Trey Johnson posted 21 points. The match was Carlson's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonny Arnouts, who had eight points and four steals.

Baldwin's loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Pentwater, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.

Baldwin didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 77-57 win against Marion on the 11th. As for Pentwater, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 78-17 victory against Walkerville on the 11th.
