Soccer Recap: Vermilion Catholic Takes a Loss

After some red-hot attacks on offense in their last three matches, Vermilion Catholic finally came back down to earth on Monday. They fell just short of the New Iberia Yellowjackets by a score of 2-1. Vermilion Catholic haven't had much luck with New Iberia recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Vermilion Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for New Iberia, they moved to 3-3 with that win, which also ended their three-match losing streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Vermilion Catholic will challenge Comeaux at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for New Iberia, they will venture away from home to square off against Lafayette Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
