Basketball Preview: Hamilton Bulldogs vs. Frost Polar Bears
Hamilton has been on the road for two straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Frost Polar Bears at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Hamilton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Friday.
Last Friday, Hamilton was able to grind out a solid win over the Eagles, taking the game 53-42. The win was just what Hamilton needed coming off of a 63-38 loss in their prior matchup.
Hamilton's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Colter Johnson led the charge by dropping a double-double on 12 points and 16 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Mike Bushnell, who scored 15 points along with two blocks.
Meanwhile, Frost's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 60-38 walloping at the hands of Rio Vista. Frost was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-18.
Hamilton's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-13. As for Frost, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-19 record this season.
Hamilton came up short against the Polar Bears when the teams last played back in January, falling 59-55. Will Hamilton have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the action for a full breakdown of the game and more basketball content.
