Baseball Recap: Cactus Shadows Makes It Nine in a Row at Home

Cactus Shadows won the last time they faced Saguaro and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Falcons walked away with a 5-1 win over the Sabercats. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Falcons.

Grayson Headon spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up nine Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Evan Hanish was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Brown, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Cactus Shadows pushed their record up to 15-1-1 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 10.8 runs. As for Saguaro, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-8-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cactus Shadows will venture away from home to square off against Coconino at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Saguaro, they will square off against Crismon at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. The Rattlers will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Sabercats surely won't give up without a fight.
