Football Recap: Bergenfield Triumphs

Bergenfield's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They walked away with a 20-13 victory over the Millburn Millers. The win continues a trend for the Bears in their matchups with the Millers: they've now won three in a row.

Bergenfield found their leader in sophomore Shameire Duncan, who rushed for 166 yards and one TD.

The victory was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-5. As for Millburn, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 3-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bergenfield will host Eastside at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Bears will be up against the Ghosts' rather soft defense (which has allowed 29.5 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Millburn, they will be playing at home against Caldwell at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
