Volleyball Game Preview: Bakersfield Lions vs. Summersville Wildcats

Bakersfield hasn't had much luck against Summersville recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Lions will head out to face off against the Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Bakersfield saw some tournament action on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to Couch.

Fans were treated to a battle of the Wildcats on Tuesday. Summersville came up short against Winona, falling 3-0. Summersville has struggled against Winona recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-9, 25-11.

Summersville's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Bakersfield, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.

Bakersfield suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Summersville in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Lions avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
