Basketball Recap: Nalani Carter Key Part of a Team Effort in Navigators Win

On Friday, the Hampton Roads Academy Navigators were able to grind out a solid win over the Heritage Hurricanes, taking the game 39-30. Given the Navigators' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 32nd, while the Hurricanes are ranked 214th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Hampton Roads Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Nalani Carter led the charge by dropping a double-double on ten points and 15 rebounds. Carter is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down 13 or more in the last three games she's played. Kenzie Cooper was another key player, dropping a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds.
