Basketball Recap: Chuck Harry Key Part of a Team Effort in Stallions Win

Lee Central won the last time they faced Hartsville and things went their way on Thursday too. The Lee Central Stallions snuck past the Hartsville Red Foxes with a 60-56 victory.

Lee Central's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Chuck Harry led the charge by going 10 of 15 on his way to 21 points and five rebounds. Those 21 points gave Harry a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Sinatra Rembert, who posted 16 points.

Lee Central smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive rebounds in four consecutive games.

When it comes to explaining why Hartsville lost, don't look at EJ Smith. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds. Smith is becoming a predictor of Hartsville's success: when he posts at least eight boards the team is 4-2 (and 0-3 when he doesn't). Zaries Huggins was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Lee Central's record is now 4-6. As for Hartsville, they now have a losing record at 4-5.

Lee Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 64-53 loss against McBee on the 27th. As for Hartsville, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, an 81-79 defeat against Central on the 27th.
