Anderson is a perfect 4-0 against McCallum since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Anderson Trojans will welcome the McCallum Knights at 7:00 p.m. Anderson is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.
Anderson took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They blew past Cedar Creek 18-1. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Trojans considering their one-run performance the contest before.
Brooke Lonsdale looked comfortable as she tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Ruby Martin, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in runs. Another player making a difference was Bella Patterson, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
Anderson hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in six consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, McCallum was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took an 8-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of Crockett.
Grace Yemington was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. Magnolia Smith also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.
McCallum now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Anderson, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-6.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Anderson hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .326. However, it's not like McCallum struggles in that department as they've averaged .383. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went Anderson's way against McCallum in their previous matchup back in April of 2022, as Anderson made off with a 16-1 win. Will Anderson repeat their success, or does McCallum have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
