Basketball Game Preview: Novi Wildcats vs. Plymouth Wildcats

The Novi Wildcats are taking a road trip to face off against the Plymouth Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Last Tuesday, Novi came up short against Milford and fell 55-46. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 78th, while the Mavericks are ranked tenth).

Meanwhile, Plymouth had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.3 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They came out on top against the Falcons by a score of 63-54.

Plymouth's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-2. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.0 points per game. As for Novi, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-2.

Novi strolled past Plymouth in their previous matchup back in February by a score of 66-50. The rematch might be a little tougher for Novi since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
