Basketball Recap: Perryville Comes Up Short

Perryville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were beaten by the Fallston Cougars 65-36. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Among those leading the charge was Oliver Rueckert, who made all 5 shots he took to post 10 points and seven boards. Another player making a difference was Logan Sweitzer, who posted eight points and seven rebounds.

Perryville's defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Fallston, they pushed their record up to 11-7 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Perryville will challenge North East at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Perryville is facing North East at the right time seeing as North East is stuck on an eight-game losing streak. As for Fallston, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Fallston Cougars take on the Bel Air Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
