Baseball Recap: Fort Bend Kempner Takes a Loss

Fort Bend Kempner had lost four straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped their record down to 7-18-1 to make it five. They lost 10-0 to the Victoria East Titans. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Titans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-3 on Tuesday.

As for Victoria East, they are on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games.

For Victoria East's part, Grayson Youngblood was a standout: he got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Ryan Steele, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple.

Fort Bend Kempner does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Victoria East, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 1-0 victory against Victoria West on the 26th.
