Soccer Recap: Scituate Comes Up Short

Scituate came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Quincy Presidents, falling 3-0. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Scituate came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts soccer rankings (they are ranked 123rd, while Quincy are ranked 257th).

Scituate's loss ended a three-match streak of away wins and brought them to 6-6-2. As for Quincy, their win ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 4-12.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Scituate will face off against rival Pembroke at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Quincy is set to challenge their familiar foe Hanover at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
