Heritage Christian extends home losing streak to four

Recap: Heritage Christian Patriots vs. HEARTS for Jesus Christ Guardians
The Heritage Christian Patriots's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They were outmatched by HEARTS for Jesus Christ at home and fell 73-37. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Heritage Christian of the 56-22 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.
HEARTS for Jesus Christ got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Silas Nixon out in front who scored ten points along with seven assists and seven rebounds. Nixon has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last six times he's played. Another player making a difference was Nick Lenarth, who scored 16 points.
Heritage Christian dropped their record down to 1-8 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for HEARTS for Jesus Christ, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 14-4.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Reimer Road Baptist Christian the next time they take the court. Heritage Christian will head out to face the Golden Eagles on Tuesday, while the Guardians will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
