Softball Recap: Rutland Sets Scoring Season-High Against Crawford County

Rutland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 25-15 to the Crawford County Eagles. On the bright side, the 15- run performance marked the Hurricanes' highest-scoring contest to date.

Adrianna Kadian was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those RBI were her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Payne, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

Rutland's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Crawford County, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-3.

Looking ahead, Rutland will take on Howard at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Crawford County, they will square off against Taylor County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
