Mt. Pleasant waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They walked away with a 10-7 win over the Heritage Hawks. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Oilers also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Mt. Pleasant's victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-3. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games. As for Heritage, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Mt. Pleasant didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-5 victory against Cheboygan on the 26th. As for Heritage, they will square off against Powers Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
