Canton had won ten straight games and Shamira Morton did her part to make it 11 on Friday. The Canton Tigers walked away with a 44-31 victory over the Yazoo City Indians thanks in part to Morton, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 11 rebounds. Morton is crushing it when it comes to boards: she's pulled down at least eight every time she's taken the court this season.

Jasmine Britton was another key player, putting up eight points. That's the most points she has posted since back in December of 2024.

Canton's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-5. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.1 points over those games. As for Yazoo City, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 16-9.
