Baxter came tearing into Saturday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Colfax-Mingo Tigerhawks a 4-0 shutout. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 13-3 on Wednesday.

Baxter's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-6. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for Colfax-Mingo, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 13 of their last 14 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-17 record this season.

Baxter will square off against Collins-Maxwell on Tuesday. Colfax-Mingo does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
