Baseball Recap: Floyd Central Victorious

Floyd Central's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-4 win over the Powell County Pirates. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Jaguars have posted since April 11th.

Luke Gibson was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Mason Anderson was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one double.

Floyd Central's record is now 10-11. As for Powell County, their loss dropped their record down to 11-13.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Floyd Central will square off against Martin County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Powell County, they will face off against Jackson County at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
