Basketball Game Preview: Whiting Oilers vs. River Forest Ingots

Whiting hasn't had much luck against River Forest recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Whiting Oilers will welcome the River Forest Ingots at 7:00 p.m.

Whiting is headed into Tuesday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their 29th straight game dating back to last season on Saturday. They came up short against DeMotte Christian, falling 56-35.

Meanwhile, River Forest made easy work of North Newton on Saturday and carried off a 62-38 victory. The Ingots have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven games by 21 points or more this season.

River Forest has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.7 points over those games. As for Whiting, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-19.
