Soccer Game Preview: Ensworth vs. Father Ryan

The Ensworth Tigers will take on the Father Ryan Irish at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Ensworth has struggled recently with five losses in a row, while Father Ryan will arrive with three straight wins.

On Tuesday, Ensworth didn't have quite enough to beat Lipscomb Academy and fell 2-1.

Meanwhile, Father Ryan's game on Thursday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They came out on top against Pope John Paul II by a score of 3-1. Given Father Ryan's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked seventh, while Pope John Paul II are ranked 81st) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Father Ryan hit Pope John Paul II with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Chloe Edwards, Gigi Lewis, and Elliott Hartz.

Father Ryan's victory bumped their record up to 10-2-1. As for Ensworth, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.
