Softball Recap: Manatee Takes a Loss

Manatee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 9-1 to the Palmetto Tigers. That's two games in a row now that the Hurricanes have lost by exactly eight runs.

Manatee's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Palmetto, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Looking ahead, Manatee will face off against Hardee at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Palmetto, they will challenge Sumner at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Palmetto's pitchers better be ready for this one: Sumner has averaged an impressive 9.5 runs per game this season.
