Shaw is 10-0 against Kendrick since January of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. Having just played yesterday, the Shaw Raiders will head out on the road to face off against the Kendrick Cherokees at 7:30 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Shaw is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Sumter County just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Monday. They took a 63-44 bruising from the Panthers.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Hunter Houseweart, who posted seven points. Another player making a difference was Jamon Smith, who scored ten points and six boards.

Meanwhile, Kendrick was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against Spencer, falling 61-39. While losing is never fun, the Cherokees can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 351st, while the Greenwave are ranked 136th).

Shaw's record now sits at 9-14. As for Kendrick, their record now sits at 12-9.

Everything went Shaw's way against Kendrick in their previous matchup back in January, as Shaw made off with a 60-40 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Shaw since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
