Soccer Game Preview: Fairless vs. Washington

The Fairless Falcons will square off against the Washington Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Fairless' offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for five straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

On Wednesday, Fairless came up short against Tuslaw and fell 3-1.

The Falcons' goal came courtesy of Adaline Borojevich, who's now up to seven this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Washington). Their defense stepped up to hand McKinley a 9-0 shutout on Monday. Washington haven't had any issues with McKinley recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Washington's victory bumped their record up to 8-3-4. As for Fairless, their loss dropped their record down to 7-5-4.

Fairless came out on top in a nail-biter against Washington when the teams last played back in October of 2024, sneaking past 2-1. Will the Falcons repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
