Basketball Recap: Friday's Victory Is Palmetto Ridge's Third in Last Four Outings

Palmetto Ridge won the last time they faced Naples, and Amberly Rios did her part to make sure it happened again. The Palmetto Ridge Bears narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Naples Golden Eagles 57-54 thanks in part to Rios, who went 10 for 18 on her way to 26 points and six boards. Those six rebounds gave her a new career-high.

Palmetto Ridge is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season. As for Naples, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-14.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Fort Myers the next time they take the court. Naples will host Fort Myers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while Palmetto Ridge will head out to face them at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
