Soccer Game Preview: Moore vs. Norman

Moore is 1-6 against Norman since April of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Lions will head out to face off against the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Moore is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Oklahoma's top teams: MacArthur, who was ranked 22nd at the time (Moore was ranked 19th). The Lions' defense stepped up to hand the Highlanders a 2-0 shutout last Friday.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Norman challenged Piedmont last Tuesday. The Tigers blew past the Wildcats 5-1. Considering Norman have won three matchups by more than three goals this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Carsyn Deligans and Jamilla Burnett scored all five of Norman's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

The win made it two in a row for Norman and bumps their season record up to 4-1-2. As for Moore, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Moore came up short against Norman when the teams last played back in March of 2025, falling 2-0. Can the Lions avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
