Basketball Game Preview: Logan Chieftains vs. Lancaster Golden Gales

The Logan Chieftains will venture away from home to challenge the Lancaster Golden Gales at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

On Wednesday, Logan lost to Circleville on the road by a 51-34 margin. While losing is never fun, the Chieftains can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 373rd, while the Tigers are ranked 20th).

Meanwhile, Lancaster was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were outmatched by Pickerington Central and fell 76-24. The game marked the Golden Gales' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Logan and nudges their season record down to 2-6. As for Lancaster, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 2-6.

Logan beat Lancaster 54-47 when the teams last played back in January. Will Logan repeat their success, or does Lancaster have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
