Baseball Recap: Glenpool Comes Up Short

Glenpool was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 23-2 to the North Rock Creek Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-5 on Monday.

Denim Sands was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Glenpool's success: when he posts at least one home run the team is 3-1 (and 5-9 when he doesn't).

Glenpool's defeat dropped their record down to 8-10. As for North Rock Creek, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Glenpool will venture away from home to challenge Locust Grove at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for North Rock Creek, a feisty cat fight will be fought as North Rock Creek Cougars face off against Blanchard Lions at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday.
