Soccer Game Preview: Grandview vs. Cherry Creek

The Grandview Wolves will head out to square off against the Cherry Creek Bruins at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Grandview is headed into Tuesday's matchup following a draw, the team's first since March 27. They and Northfield finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw on Saturday.

Allie Smith and Katarina Charles scored both of Grandview's goals, bringing their combined season tally to eight goals.

Meanwhile, Cherry Creek faced Arapahoe in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Bruins had just enough and edged out the Warriors 1-0. The result kept Cherry Creek happy, as they haven't lost a game yet this season.

Cherry Creek pushed their record up to 10-0-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 28 goals over those five contests. Grandview's draw makes their record 5-4-2 this season.

Grandview came up short against Cherry Creek when the teams last played back in April of 2024, falling 2-0. Can Wolves avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
