Basketball Recap: Liberty North Eagles vs. Fort Osage Indians
Liberty North gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They took down the Fort Osage Indians 77-62. That's more bragging rights for the Eagles, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Fort Osage's loss came despite strong showings from Isaac Woodward and Jax Navarro. Woodward went 8 for 13 en route to 21 points plus eight rebounds and two blocks, while Navarro went 8 for 17 en route to 20 points. Woodward has been hot , having posted eight or more rebounds the last five times he's played. Nicholas Penamon was another key player, posting five points.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Liberty North will challenge Varsity Opponent at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Fort Osage, they will square off against Belton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
