Basketball Game Preview: Des Lacs-Burlington Lakers vs. New Town Eagles

The Des Lacs-Burlington Lakers will take on the New Town Eagles at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

Des Lacs-Burlington is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Rugby 76-37. The Lakers have beaten the Panthers the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Panthers has come to flipping the script.

Meanwhile, New Town entered their tilt with South Prairie/Max on Thursday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They claimed a resounding 80-47 victory over South Prairie/Max. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 28 points or more this season.

New Town pushed their record up to 10-5 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.5 points over those games. As for Des Lacs-Burlington, their victory bumped their record up to 7-10.
