Volleyball Recap: North Woods Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

North Woods came tearing into Thursday's game with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Mesabi East Giants. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the grizzlies also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-16, 25-11.

Lauren Burnett paced North Woods' offense, picking up 11 kills. Burnett got some help from Carsyn Burnett and her 16 assists. Tessa Burnett controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

North Woods' win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for Mesabi East, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 2-2.

Coming up, North Woods will be playing in front of their home fans against Deer River at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Mesabi East, they are taking a road trip to challenge Two Harbors at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
