Softball Recap: Elmore County Panthers vs. Valley Rams
Elmore County had to kick off their season on the road on Wednesday, but they showed no ill effects. Everything went their way against the Valley Rams as the Elmore County Panthers made off with a 16-5 win. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Rams: they've now won seven in a row.
Lalah Culpepper made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That's the fewest hits she has allowed since back in April of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. What's more, she posted three hits, the most she's had since back in April of 2024.

In other batting news, Elmore County got a massive performance out of Addison Hicks, who scored four runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-4. Valley dropped their record down to 1-6 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.
