Soccer Game Preview: Valley View vs. Searcy

The Valley View Blazers are taking a road trip to take on the Searcy Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Valley View is headed into the matchup having not lost since March 7 and will look to keep things rolling. They blew past Greene County Tech 4-1 on Tuesday. Valley View might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by three goals or more this season.

They hit Greene County Tech with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Ben Roper (2), Hayes Martin, and Grant Higgins.

Meanwhile, Searcy kept a clean sheet against Nettleton last Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Raiders with a sharp 7-0 win. That's two games straight that Searcy have won by exactly seven goals.

Valley View has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-2-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those six matchups. As for Searcy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-1-2.

Valley View came up short against Searcy when the teams last played back in April of 2024, falling 2-0. Can the Blazers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
