Volleyball Recap: Central Pointe Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Central Pointe Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Southland Christian FLAMES. While the CPCA didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the FLAMES 25-18 in the first set.

Central Pointe Christian Academy started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 25-16, 25-19, 25-18.

Central Pointe Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Southland Christian, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-4 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central Pointe Christian Academy will take on Lake Buena Vista at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Southland Christian, they will venture away from home to face off against Poinciana Christian Preparatory at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
