Basketball Recap: McQueen Lancers vs. Galena Grizzlies
McQueen hasn't had much luck at home recently (they'd lost three straight) but thanks in part to Alex Hancock that streak is no more. The McQueen Lancers walked away with a 70-57 victory over the Galena Grizzlies on Wednesday thanks in part to Hancock, who went 7 for 9 en route to 17 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals. He has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last four times he's played.

Another player making a difference was Talan Backlund, who posted nine points. Those nine points gave him a new career-high.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. McQueen will venture away from home to face off against Bishop Manogue at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. McQueen is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.3 points per game this season. As for Galena, they are taking a road trip to take on Spanish Springs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Spanish Springs will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Galena surely won't give up without a fight.
