After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Huron, Grosse Ile was happy to have turned things around on Monday. Everything went their way against the Jefferson Bears as they made off with a 3-0 win. That looming 3-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Red Devils yet this season.

Grosse Ile's victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 11-9. As for Jefferson, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-10.

Grosse Ile and Jefferson could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. The Red Devils (ranked 295th) will meet Flat Rock (ranked 42nd) at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Jefferson will square off against St. Mary Catholic Central at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank disadvantage (525 vs. 20).
