Basketball Recap: Berlin Brothersvalley Comes Up Short

Berlin Brothersvalley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. The contest between them and the Allegany Campers didn't end well, with the Berlin Brothersvalley Mountaineers falling 68-54. The Mountaineers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Campers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2024.

Despite the loss, Berlin Brothersvalley saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Carson Janidlo dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten boards. The dominant performance gave Janidlo a new career-high in rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Miller, who posted nine points.

Berlin Brothersvalley's defeat dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Allegany, they moved to 3-7 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Berlin Brothersvalley won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Southern Fulton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Berlin Brothersvalley is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.5 points per game this season. As for Allegany, they will also get right back to it: they'll challenge Southern at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Southern will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Allegany surely won't give up without a fight.
