Basketball Game Preview: Splendora Wildcats vs. West Fork Gators

The Splendora Wildcats will take on the West Fork Gators in a holiday battle at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Splendora is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Crosby just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 59-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cougars.

Meanwhile, West Fork played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 44-22 to Porter. The Gators have struggled against the Spartans recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Splendora will have to keep a close watch on Nadia Camacho and London Carmona, a pair of players who had a big impact on West Fork's prior game. Camacho posted eight points, while Carmona scored four points.

West Fork's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Splendora, their loss dropped their record down to 9-7.

Splendora came out on top in a nail-biter against West Fork in their previous matchup back in January, sneaking past 50-48. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Gators have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
