Thompson Valley has gone 7-1 against Roosevelt recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Eagles will challenge the Roughriders at 4:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive.
While Thompson Valley's win against Mountain View wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Eagles won by a run and slipped past the Mountain Lions 4-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Eagles have posted since March 6th.

Evan Raabe made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits. Raabe was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last seven games he's played.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Beau Heaton, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run. Landon Carrol was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.
Roosevelt came out on top against Timnath on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run second inning. The Roughriders were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over the Cubs. The Roughriders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matchups by six runs or more this season.
Mason Sauer was a standout: he got on base in all three of his plate appearances with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Unruh, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.
Roosevelt kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive games.
Roosevelt pushed their record up to 17-5 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.7 runs over those games. As for Thompson Valley, the win got them back to even at 11-11.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Thompson Valley has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.9 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Roosevelt struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 10 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Thompson Valley couldn't quite finish off Roosevelt in their previous matchup two weeks ago and fell 6-4. Can the Eagles avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
